It’s Coronation Weekend!

With the coronation of King Charles III approaching, we’d like to share how proud we are of Royal Navy Petty Officer Amy Taylor. She will make history after being chosen to represent servicemen and women in a tribute to the military career of the King who also served as a naval officer. She will be the first woman in history to carry the Sword of Offering at a coronation. Amy is the sister of our very own Jonathan Taylor, Design Engineering Manager.

The Sword of Offering is one of the historic Crown Jewels and Amy has said she is deeply honoured to take part in the ceremony. She said: “Having served most of my senior career as an aircraft engineer on 845 Naval Air Squadron at RNAS Yeovilton where His Majesty originally trained and served as a pilot, I am deeply honoured and humbled to play my part in this historic event.”

Congratulations to Amy for this fantastic achievement!
